County Fire Marshal Safety and Education

The Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office Fire and Life Safety Education team delivers a variety of fire prevention, public education, and community risk reduction programs to:

  • Educational Facilities (Public and Private)

  • Day Care Facilities

  • Children's Summer Camps

  • Huntersville Safety Town

  • Healthcare Facilities

  • Hotels/Motels

  • Businesses

  • General Industry

  • Others upon request

Our certified Fire & Life Safety Educators provide students, teachers, community members, employers and employees with important information, techniques, and resources to reduce fire related injuries and help mitigate risk to life, property, and the environment.

The Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office partners with the Charlotte Fire Department's Fire and Life Safety Education Division to deliver the CMS 3rd and 6th grade fire safety educational programs, reaching a large student population within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public School system. These same programs are also offered to private schools.

Fire extinguisher training classes are available and can be scheduled upon request.
